Organisations

The organisation facility may be offered to customers who have two or more trials active, to help them manage user accounts across their trial applications. Organisation administrators can:

  • Add, update or suspend users from roles in their trials
  • Add new users to their trials
  • Edit the email address or reset the password/MFA device of their users
  • View the audit log of changes made

Organisation administrators do not have access to the trial applications themselves — just the user management facilities.

At the request of the customer, Sealed Envelope will set up the organisation in Access and will also create the first organisation administrator account (or will assign this role to an existing account). This user will set up further organisation administrator accounts as required.

The organisation administrator role will see the Organisation link in the top menu bar.

Organisation link

Clicking on the Organisation link takes the user to the organisation page. The organisation page lists all the organisation administrators, and shows links to the associated trials and a button to manage the users of these trials.

The list of trials linked to the organisation allows user accounts to be managed within each trial.

List of linked trials

The 'Manage users' button shows a list of users across all the organisation's trials.

List of users of trials linked to the organisation

A user in this list can be selected to change their email address, reset their password, and to view and edit their roles on the trials linked to the organisation. User account roles can also be suspended.

We recommend organisation administrators regularly check the list of users and suspend roles for any staff who have left the organisation.

Organisation administrators can also access an organisation audit log

'View audit log' button

The audit log shows details of the the changes made to the organisation and its related roles.
